What's this ? A bike shop that does not sell bikes? We do occasionally sell bikes to earn money to fix up the freebe bikes.. But the real purpose of Bikewalla bike shop is to share our love for bicycles and bicycle riding .

A thing to know about our shop ; We change our focus in response to needs we see in the community. This season our focus will be on the bike library at Barber Park. we will be loaning nice quality bikes to anyone who wanders by and fills in a rental agreement. There is no charge to use a bike library bike but we do want the bikes to stay within Barber Park and to be returned the same day before we close.

Let us know please if you have bikes or bike parts you would like to donate for our bike fixup and giveaway program. That program will be scaled back and will not be our primary focus. Why? because we are out of bikes worth fixing up. And because we see more value in the teaching bike repair and in the bike library.

And don't forget our Easyrider series we participate in each Tuesday

We love have volunteers to help with repairs , organizing the shop, help with the propaganda and to staff the bike library..

We also operate bikesboro.com as our non profit adventure.

We now have 2 locations.

The Silver street shop focuses on youth skill training and supplying bicycles to day workers. Staff includes Glen and his crew of assistants and trainees.

Barber Park is our storage and work space. Barber Park will host our bicycle repair classes and neighborhood fun rides and the bike library.

Bikewalla and Bikesboro Universal World Corporate Headquarters is at Transorm GSO at 111 W Lewis street 27406. This is our thinkatorium and Tea Drinking Headquarters.

Lewis street is our shipping Address as well.

We partner with Greensboro Department of recreation . Below you will see a shameless plug for The parks department.

We also work closely with the Greensboro Department of Transportation. While we will often disagree on stuff we happily work together and maintain friendship and good working relationship.
